Play Areas in Wokingham

Elms Field
One of Wokinghams newest playgrounds, located in the heart of the town centre at Elms Field. This large playground is very well equipped with activities suitable for children from age 1 to 12 years old. There are plenty of picnic benches as well as a large field next door.
Parking is available in Wokingham Town Centre.

FBC

Located at Finchampsted Baptist Church this is a brilliant playground for all ages. Swings, a zipwire, merry-go-round, slides, climbing wall and a large toddler area this playground has something for everyone. Tennis Courts and Basket Ball Courts are also available to hire. They have a small bike track so it’s the ideal place to bring a scooter or a balance bike.

There is a large onsite café inside the FBC centre as well as toilet and changing facilities

Pinewood

There is a large playground at Pinewood on the outskirts of Wokingham with plenty of free parking. The playground surface is a mixture of rubber and wood chips but there is plenty to keep the little ones entertained. During the summer months the miniature railway runs next to the playground.

There is a café at Pinewood with toilet facilities a short walk from the playground.

California Country Park

This playground is currently closed but is re-opening in Spring 2021! The new playground will have a huge sensory and water play area, a woodland adventure trail and some beautiful tree houses. We often go for a walk at California Country Park and have enjoyed watching the builders create the new playground.
There will be more seating for parents as well as additional toilets and new changing facilities. In the summer months the California Park paddling pool is also open which is brilliant! Slots need to be booked online prior to your visit.

Dinton Country Park

Dinton has a huge play space with very carefully thought design features to enhance the childs experience. Giant nest towers, monkey bars, funnel trap nests, secret hobbit holes and giant swinging and climbing logs are some of the exciting features of our hugely popular play park. There is a dedicated space for toddlers with plenty of age appropriate equipment. The play space opened in 2014 to an unprecedented response, this fantastic facility is available all year round however due to the current circumstanced FREE tickets must be booked in advance.
