Pinewood Woodland Walk

Parks & Walks

Dickie's Pond & Woodland Area, Pinewood Centre, Old Wokingham Road, Wokingham RG40 3AQ

The Pinewood Centre is a great local hub supporting a wide range of recreational, sporting and community facilities. There is ample free parking on site.

Perfect for a few hours of family fun with playgrounds for children of all ages, woodland walks, a trim trail, a pond with dipping platform, a cafe and picnic spaces.

As you enter the car park, head towards the left hand side and take the path down from the cafe, signposted towards Dickie's Pond.  The pond has a great platform for pond dipping and is often inhabited by a family of ducks.  You can currently enjoy the beautiful display of pink water lilies around the pond too.

As you head into the woods, you can take the path straight ahead over the bridge, then follow a lovely bubbling brook all the way down through the woods, with various little waterfalls en route.  You can cross over the brook at various points, or walk as far as the miniature railway site, then follow the brook all the way back to Pinewood Cafe for refreshments.

The woodland paths are buggy friendly but can get quite muddy.

There are several wooden sculptures to spot in and around Dickie’s Pond and the woodland.

Discover the Pinewood Adventure park with zip wire, wooden obstacle course, picnic benches and a play area for smaller children.  There's a further play area for little ones near the nursery school.
