California country park is home to over 100 acres of woodland and heath. There is a huge carpark (charges may apply) and Jacksons Café for your food and drink needs.

The play area at California Country Park is currently closed for major refurbishment. In Spring 2021 a brand new play area is going to open with lots of new equipment, a brand new sensory and walker play area as well as an adventure trail and some tree houses! 

There are 2 trails around the park, both suitable for buggies in dry conditions. Longmore lake walk is just under a mile around the picturesque lake. The Woodland Walk is 2.2 miles long through the ancient forest and Longmore bog on a board walk. This area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the huge array of rare heath and mosses. 

During the summer months the popular paddling pool is open, slots do need to be booked online in advance and a small fee does apply.
