POPULAR SAINT-SAËNS ORGAN SYMPHONY IN MARCH CONCERT
Next dates
Sorry, there are no future dates available
Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra’s next concert at All Saints features the much-loved Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony, which you may also recognise as the theme from ‘Babe’! Organist David Pether, very well known throughout Berkshire playing for services, ceremonies and recitals, will join us for the symphony, on the recently refurbished All Saints organ. Alongside the Saint-Saëns the programme includes works by twentieth century composers based on music composed over 100 years earlier: Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Weber, and Britten’s Soirées Musicales based on melodies by Rossini. Completing the programme is Britten’s wonderful Symphonic Suite from Gloriana. We anticipate a high demand for tickets – don't miss out!
