This talk will explore the extraordinary woman behind some of history’s most important scientific discoveries and inventions.

- Sunday 19th October at 11:30am (doors open at 11:15am).
- Wokingham Library
- Aimed at ages 8 to 12 (all ages welcome).
- Approx 45 mins for talk then followed by a book signing.
Frances Durkin is a writer, historian and the author of the award-winning Histronauts book series. She has also worked on a number of books about the history of STEM subjects. She also writes articles for Aquila magazine and digital content scripts for museums.
She holds a PhD in Medieval History from the University of Birmingham and she isn’t writing or researching, Frances also runs history workshops and events in schools, museums, bookshops and at festivals.
Frances was born in Yorkshire and now lives in Buckinghamshire with her partner and two young daughters.
