Growing Roses Sensory Sessions

Growing Roses Sensory Sessions are weekly, term time sessions offering sensory play experiences for children. Choose from Toddlers (15moths to 4 years), Imaginative Investigators (5+, aimed at children with higher support needs) or Curious Creators (8+, aimed at children with lower support needs). All sessions are planned and designed with children with SEND in mind but are open to all.

All Sensory Sessions have a theme (see timetable on facebook) and include at least three themed sensory stations to explore. Toddlers sessions with also include music and movement whereas the Home Ed sessions will include an optional, adult led craft activity the children can take home with them. All sessions will be very laid back and low pressure giving the children the chance to be themselves and explore and the adults a chance to chat and make connections (if you wish!).

Sessions are run by Lauren who is an ex-teacher with extensive experience working with children with SEND. She has a full enhanced DBS and has undertaken lots of relevant training. As well as Sensory Sessions she also works 1:1 with children who are home educated (including EOTAS).

Sensory Sessions offer children opportunities to learn through exploratory sensory play, communicate with others, have new experiences and meet their sensory needs. And the best bit is you don't have to do any of the cleaning up!
