Rotary Club of Wokingham - Collection for End Polio Now
Next dates
Sorry, there are no future dates available
The Rotary Club of Wokingham will be in Market Place, Wokingham on Saturday 25th November, collecting donations, selling crocuses and glow products in aid of End Polio Now.
Rotary’s number one humanitarian goal is to rid the world of polio.
Rotary spearheaded the campaign at a time when there were over 1,000 polio cases a day in 125 countries, paralysing and even killing children.
Today, the number of cases is down by 99.9% and we are on the brink of history.
After a wet Sunday morning spent planting nearly 3000 purple crocuses in Elms Field, we are continuing the campaign by sharing the crocus bulbs with the residents of Wokingham in return for a donation. We hope you will join us in raising awareness and helping to eradicate this debilitating disease from the globe.
