If you already have solid sewing experience and want to refine your dressmaking skills, this advanced course is designed for you. Led by our expert tutor Gillian, you’ll focus on garment construction techniques, achieving a professional finish, and developing greater confidence in making and fitting clothing. You’ll be supported to work on more complex projects while expanding your understanding of patterns, fabrics, and finishing methods.

Refreshments will be provided, along with the use of sewing machines, overlockers, and some basic sewing supplies. If you have a specific garment in mind, you will be encouraged to select your own fabric and pattern with guidance from your tutor. Depending on your project, you may also need to bring additional items such as zips, buttons, or bindings.

These courses run throughout the year, offering the opportunity to continue developing your dressmaking skills and progress to increasingly advanced projects.

Thursdays: 1.30pm - 4.30pm
