Did you know that most people in the world speak two or more languages? How do they do it? Join Professor Ludovica Serratrice on a journey of linguistic discovery that will take you from babbling babies to children juggling words and sentences in two languages.
Learn about the amazing skills of babies who can tell two languages apart when they are just days old and who babble differently in their two languages. Discover how children who grow up with two or more languages learn to use them with different people and how sometimes they mix them up to great effect! Find out how adults can help children learn and keep all of their languages for life.
Additional information: Admission free. Booking essential.
Suitable for children 7–12 years.
