Join Sue Palmer as she talks about her coastal adventure story, the correct way to eat a cream tea, shells, rockpool creatures and the best pasties in the world.
Sue will share some of her research for The Shell Secret, talk about strange-looking rockpool inhabitants, reveal some ingenious survival tactics and display her collection of special shells.
Take part in her coastline quiz, or try your hand at making a beach creature at her craft table.
Exclusive signed preview copies of The Shell Secret will be available.
Event details:
- Sunday 19th October at 1:30pm (doors open at 1:15pm).
- Wokingham Library
- Aimed at ages 7 to 12 (younger siblings welcomed).
- Approx 45 mins for talk then followed by a book signing.
Based in South Oxfordshire, Sue writes adventure stories for 7-12-year-olds.
Sue runs cross-curricular and interactive KS2 workshops for schools, libraries and festivals, weaving her writing research into her events. She is often seen messing around in rockpools or gazing up at the stars.
