WOKINGHAM LIONS CLUB

TWYFORD DONKEY DERBY STALL - King George's Field, Loddon Hall Road, RG10 9JA.

Wokingham Lions Club are well known for bringing events such as The May Fayre, The Winter Carnival, The Wokingham Walk and Wokingham Classic Car Show to the town. However, their ‘patch’ extends wider and also includes villages such as, Finchampstead, Twyford and Wargrave.

On Sunday 15th June, from 1pm - 5pm, the 1st Twyford Scouts will be holding their annual Donkey Derby, a FREE to enter fun afternoon, and Wokingham Lions Club will again be bringing their stall to the event.

Wokingham Lions Club President, Andy Goffin tells us “There is a local initiative to make Twyford including the Donkey Derby more environmentally friendly. Our stall will reflect this and have a focus on Wokingham Lions Club’s activity around ‘The Environment’, one of Lions International’s 8 global causes. We'll be collecting used spectacles, hearing aids, old/foreign coins, stamps, and old bras, all of which can be sold, recycled or reused. Lions will also be available to discuss what we do as a club and how we serve our community and the wider world”.
