Igniting Writing - Wokingham Library's Creative Writing Club for 11-18 Year Olds
Wokingham Library, Carnival Hub, Wellington Road, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 2AF
Igniting Writing is a creative writing club based at Wokingham Library for 11-18 year olds to share ideas, develop writing skills and build friendships with other aspiring young writers in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Sessions are free to attend and feature fun writing activities, useful writing tips and group discussions. Each session focuses on a different writing topic each week, from building settings and creating characters to exploring sci-fi and fantasy worlds, so there’s something for everyone. Both beginners and more experienced writers are welcome.
Igniting Writing even has partnerships with several professional publishing companies and invites author, poets, journalists and more as guest speakers in from the local writing community. Join us to ignite your writing!
The groups meet every Saturday (term time only):
- Session one, open to pupils in Years 6-8 at school, 9:45am to 11:15am
- Session two, open to pupils in Years 9-13 at school, 11:45am to 1:15pm
