Local charities will have a chance to raise some money for worthy causes on the Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May. For the first time, the Wokingham Lions Club has organised a #Woky Spring Charity Market in the Marketplace next to the Town Hall.

The event will take place from 10am to 4pm. Among the participating charities are Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, The Cowshed, Home Start, Ollie Young Foundation, Oxfam Reading, WADE Day Centre, Wokingham Lions Club, and Wokingham Rotary Club. 

Ian Grange, organiser of the event, said, “This is a great opportunity for local charities to raise some much-needed funds for their good causes. It has been difficult to raise money during lockdown, so we appreciate this opportunity and the support from the Wokingham Town Council.”
