Christmas is a magical time of year for all the family and Wokingham has some of the most wonderful events around. In this handy guide you will find information on lots of local Christmas events along with some slightly further afield that we feel are worth the extra miles. There are festive farms, lights trails, meet and greets with the big man himself and some festive afternoons teas.

The Carnival of Animals Trail

A kilometre long trail to find A Carnival of Animals where brilliantly lit great bears, giant owls in flight, dramatic peacocks, Green Frogs on the lake, in fact a Carnival of Animals illuminated along every path. Glittering flowers in the walled garden. Soft and gentle animals surely like those that welcomed baby Jesus are visiting on November 29/30, December 6/7 so come and pet the animals in our mangers at the end of the trail. Warming Food: In the old Orangery find food and drink to go and in the Tea Room, spiced wine, hot chocolate and delicious soups, cranberry and pork roll, plus a delicious menu to enjoy.

Festive Family Lunch with Elsa & Olaf Family Sing Along Lunch (Ad)

Join The Village Hotel Club Bracknell for this festive sing along with Elsa and Olaf. This event includes live family entertainment and a two course lunch.

Wokingham Winter Carnival

With over 125 stalls, funfair rides, food and entertainment there will be lots to do and see.

Wokingham Winter Carnival is a FUN day out for the whole family. The town is closed to traffic for the day so children can join in the fun in a totally safe environment.

Pinewood Miniature Railway - Santa Special Ticket info due in October.

Enjoy a festive time at Pinewood Miniature Railway! Our Santa Specials include:

- a train journey around the line - look out for the reindeer and other lineside decorations,

Christmas at Beale Park

Join us for a heartwarming Christmas celebration at the zoo! Santa and his elves are coming to spread holiday cheer and create unforgettable memories. Santa's Chocolate Grotto (Gifted)

Chocolates for Chocoholics can’t wait to meet Santa in his grotto again this year, and you are welcome to join him at his Chocolate workshop in Hurst!

Create and decorate your very own festive chocolate bar with Mrs Claus
Take on the Elf Training Course and learn what it takes to become one of Santa's Elves
Meet Santa and receive a special gift (if you’re on the nice list!)
Post your letter to Santa in our enchanted North Pole post box
We will also have hot drinks available to buy throughout the day and our chocolate shop will be open for all your Christmas shopping!

Each experience lasts around 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Please choose the correct date/time from below and remember to add the child(ren's) name and age at the checkout. Book your ticket before the 5th October for a £5 voucher to spend in the chocolate shop on the day.

Christmas at Chobham Adventure Farm

Christmas Adventure:

Say hello to REAL reindeer in the Reindeer Lodge. Dodge snowballs in a fight with the cheeky elves, collect wishes and mix reindeer food. Before your meet and greet with the big man himself. Chose a toy from the toy shop and enjoy the rest of the day playing and exploring Chobham Adventure Farm.

Christmas Fair at Holme Grange Craft Village

Join us for a magical day of festive fun. Enjoy live music, choir performances, Christmas shopping, yummy food and a chance to meet Santa himself.

To note: no booking is required to meet Santa. You will be given a timeslot on the day. Slots are given on a first come first serve basis.

Indulge in a magical Afternoon Tea for all the family set in the gorgeous Mansion House this Christmas season. A visit to Santa and a gift is also included.

TIMINGS & LOCATION

There are two sittings available to book for this experience. The first time slot will start promptly at 12pm and finish at 2pm. The second time slot will start at 4pm and finish at 6pm.

Please note that if you are attending the first time slot, we require your table back by 3pm at the very latest.

Our Festive Family Afternoon Tea is taking place in the Terrace Suite in the Mansion House. Please park in the main car park by taking the first left at the mini roundabout. Then, walk to the Mansion House by following the signs.

South Hill Park - Mother Goose and the Golden Egg

Millers Ark Farm – Hook

This wonderful farm prides itself on its hands on approach with animals. Get up close and personal with chickens/goats/pigs and donkeys. Millers Ark is a truly wonderful place and they are holding various Christmas events but don’t delay these will get booked up.
