This brand new state of the art eco playground opened in April 2021. The playground is free and no longer needs to be pre booked.

The play area is split into 2 halves;

The Sensory Garden is perfect for the smaller child, with plenty of water play where the children can practice imagination, investigation and discovering. 

 Wild Wood is more suited to the older child, and includes a huge tree house, rope swings, trim trail, as well as a popular zip wire. There is a climbing pyramid and some cute carved wooden animals in the Wild Wood area. 

In addition to these 2 areas there is also wheelchair accessible equipment such as swings, musical walkway and an adapted trampoline. 

There is plenty of seating for parents and carers.

During the summer months the paddling pool opens next door to the playground. Booking is required for the paddling pool at the moment. 

There is a brilliant on site café as well as recently refurbished toilets. 

There are plenty of ducks to feed at California Country park and you can even walk to the FBC centre along a path, which takes about 40 minutes.
