Easter Egg Hunt
No Easter is complete without an Easter Egg hunt! Hide some chocolate eggs in your garden or the local woods and watch your children’s faces as they smile with every egg they find!!

Easter Egg Trail
This is a great activity to do with your local community. Each family decorates 1 or 2 eggs made out of upcycled cardboard packaging. You can make them as elaborate as you like but please remember to fix everything securely to prevent it becoming a hazard to wildlife. On Easter weekend dispatch a parent to the local woodland to tie the decorated eggs to the trees for the children to find. Please remember to remove the eggs after the weekend.

Make an Easter Bonnet
Why don’t you upcycle an old hat you’ve got at the back of the cupboard or even make your own from cardboard. You can decorate your hat with all sorts of wonderful additions. Shops such as The Range, Poundland, Hobbycraft and Baker Ross have all sorts of Easter bits that would look perfect on a bonnet!

Easter Egg Fork Painting
Using different media is a great way of keeping painting fun and interesting. Why not try to make an Easter chick by dipping a plastic fork in the paint. It’s a really simple method but very effective.

Potato Print Easter Eggs
A classic that never grows old! Grab some potatoes out of your fridge and cut out some pretty patterns to create your own easter egg stampers. The Clumsy Crafter has some lovely ideas...

Easter Bunny Plate
Cover a paper plate with cotton wool balls to make the fluffy bunny. Cut out some card ears and attach to the plate. Add some googly eyes, a pink pom pom and pipe cleaners to make the face! For more ideas visit Natural Beach Living

Easter Nest Cakes
Another classic recipe that never grows old. We always use the BBC Good Food recipe which can be found here.

Toilet Roll Chicks & Bunnies
Using the middle of a toilet roll shaped into an oval for a chick or a circle and 2 ovals stuck together for a bunny face. Dip into paint and print on card to create an Easter picture. Click here for more

Carrot Footprints
The Easter bunny loves carrots so why don’t you make some carrot footprints and create a footprint trail to help your children find their Easter eggs? You could even write the ages of your children on the feet to keep as a little keepsake.

Resurrection Garden
This is a great activity if the weather is warm. Get the wellies on and head out in the garden with a small tray or plate and create your own resurrection garden. Enjoy talking about what it represents and the meaning of Easter. The Frugal Home maker shows you how to make your own garden here

Egg Shell Smash
If you use a lot of eggs in your house why don’t you collect the shells and then use them for some fun learning! Write numbers on the shells and ask your child to smash the correct number with a wooden spoon. This was a great way to learn numbers. You could also use the same method for phonics and shapes too!

As well as enjoying crafts at home, why not head out with the family to a local park or go for a walk? We have a brilliant collection of local parks and walks nearby to give you all some much needed fresh air.
